Mr. Smith joined the staff of the Lands and Survey Department in January 1971 and has since been involved in most of the projects undertaken by the Department. Among the survey projects in which he contributed are the National Cadastral Survey, survey and subdivision of government settlements including residential, commercial and agricultural schemes as well as the survey and setting out of roads.
